Course description
To enroll in the teaching degree course for vocational colleges, students need to show they have twelve months of relevant practical experience. Most of this hands-on work should be done before they graduate. Some of the specialized practical work can be completed through special internships at universities. If needed, professional training can also count towards this requirement. The teacher training program for vocational colleges includes a 6-semester Bachelor's course and a 4-semester Master's course. The teaching degree program for vocational colleges, known as Model A, covers several key areas: Educational Sciences, German for Migrant Pupils, and Subject 1 or Vocational Subject 1, among others. This structure ensures that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The goal is to prepare them thoroughly for their future roles as educators in vocational settings.
