The hallmark of Osnabrück's English and American Studies is the seamless integration of linguistics, literature, and cultural studies. Our research and teaching focus on several key areas. We delve into the language, literature, and culture of the English Renaissance, with a special emphasis on Shakespeare. We explore language in context and study "Late Modern English." Our program also covers English-language children's and young people's literature, American literature and culture, particularly Visual Culture Studies and American Legal Culture.
