M.Ed. | Master of Education
Course description
As a teacher at a Hauptschule, Realschule, Sekundarschule, or Gesamtschule, you will instruct students from grades 5 to 10. To prepare for this role, you will first pursue a Bachelor's degree (HRSGe) at the University of Münster. This program includes your two chosen subjects and educational sciences. During your Bachelor's studies, you will complete two practical phases. The first is an aptitude and orientation internship at a school, lasting at least 25 days. The second is a professional internship, typically outside of school, lasting at least four weeks. If you are studying a modern foreign language, a three-month stay abroad is mandatory. After earning your Bachelor's degree, you will continue with the "Master of Education for Teaching at Hauptschule, Realschule, Sekundarschule, and Gesamtschule." When selecting your subjects, ensure they meet the requirements for permitted combinations. This pathway equips you with the knowledge and practical experience needed to excel in teaching and to foster a supportive learning environment for your future students.
