Global Studies Programme
Subjects: Political Science;Social Sciences
M.G.S. | Master of Global Studies
Course description
The Global Studies Programme (GSP) is a rigorous, research-focused social science graduate program. Its main aim is to dissect the complexities of our social world through research, striving to envision and create alternative futures. A key requirement of the program is the completion of a Master's Thesis. In this thesis, students are expected to reflect deeply on their GSP education, experiences, and research. We strongly encourage our students to continue their academic journey as researchers and pursue a Ph.D. To date, all our graduates have received their degrees from Humboldt University (HU). Those who spend their second semester at FLACSO have the option to earn a double degree from both HU and FLACSO. We are actively working to establish double-degree agreements with all our partner institutions. The GSP covers a wide range of study subjects, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of global social dynamics. This program is designed to foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a profound understanding of the social sciences. Our goal is to equip students with the tools they need to make meaningful contributions to society and academia.
