Course description

The M.A. in Social and Cultural Anthropology is a research-driven master’s program that immerses students in advanced socio-cultural anthropology. It guides them through an ethnographic research project, addressing both timeless and modern questions in the field. Students learn to use ethnography as a reflective tool to explore specific research problems. The program emphasizes the diversity of human experiences and their global connections. Students work closely with academic staff and can leverage the University of Bayreuth’s strong focus on African Studies.
