The Cartography course equips students with the expertise to visually represent, analyze, and explore the digital earth, focusing on its spatiotemporal objects and facts. The curriculum covers essential methods and applications in spatial data modeling, data analysis, and the visualization of geographical information. The Master's program in Cartography addresses complex spatial questions within our globalized and digitalized society. It recognizes the growing importance of cartographic visualization and analysis across various disciplines, including environmental and climate protection, geology, spatial planning, agriculture, and forestry. Students gain foundational methodological and technical knowledge, with a strong emphasis on creating readable, aesthetic, and user-friendly visualizations of geodata.
