With the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the international community has signaled a new era of global partnership. Developing countries, emerging economies, and industrialized nations have united around 17 ambitious Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To bring the 2030 Agenda to life, international organizations need experts who deeply understand diverse development issues and can implement effective projects. The master's program in Sustainable Development Management at HSRW stands out as the only internationally accredited degree of its kind in Germany. This program uniquely blends economics and political science, focusing on sustainable development. It also includes empirical methods and project management modules. This comprehensive approach equips you with the skills to influence both academic discussions and practical projects in sustainable development. Our courses follow the project cycle. Qualification Requirements

The three main requirements for admission to a master’s degree programme: A professionally qualifying first degree in the same or a related field to the desired master’s degree programme (required by § 49 section 7 of the Higher Education Act NRW(Hochschulgesetz)); The final cumulative grade for the professionally qualifying first degree must meet the minimum grade requirement set for the desired programme (refer to application process for master’s degree programmes); Language requirement: English language certificate for degree programmes taught in English, German language certificate for programmes in German.
