Subjects: Nuclear Applications
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
The Master of Nuclear Applications (MNA) program equips students from various engineering and natural science backgrounds with essential and practical knowledge in Nuclear Science. This includes areas such as radiation protection, radiation detection methods, and radiation biology. Beyond the basics, students can specialize in one of four key areas: Nuclear Technology, Nuclear Chemistry, Medical Physics, and Nuclear Waste Disposal. Our program features lectures and hands-on training from experts in these fields. Professors from three different faculties at FH Aachen, along with instructors from Forschungszentrum Jülich, the Federal Society for Interim Storage BGZ, University Hospital Aachen, the Universities of Cologne and Essen, and industry professionals, all contribute to the curriculum. Students benefit from our extensive networks. Nationally, we collaborate with the Competence Centre Forum Nuclear Technology West and the German Competence Alliance Nuclear Technology. On a European level, we are a founding member of the CHERNE university network, which provides access to courses and facilities like research reactors and accelerators at partner universities. Our Master's program is truly international. We have welcomed students from countries such as Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Jordan, Luxembourg, Mexico
