Sustainability & Smart Building Technology
Subjects: Sustainability;Business
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
Humans spend about 90% of their time indoors. For our well-being, we need enough light, fresh air, and a comfortable temperature. Consequently, residential buildings, offices, and shops require ample space and significant energy. These two resources are under scrutiny as we aim for a sustainable future. This degree program focuses on technology in the real estate sector, aiming to run buildings efficiently while being user-friendly. The term PropTech (Property Technology) refers to technological advancements and digital services in real estate over the past decade. The number of use cases and business models is constantly rising, with smart buildings being the most well-known examples of PropTech. These buildings use automation to create comfortable indoor spaces for humans while reducing carbon dioxide emissions to combat climate change.
