Course description
The master's degree program "Visual Computing" covers the essentials, processes, and applications of computer-aided visual information processing. Students explore image evaluation and pattern recognition. They learn how to create, process, and technically analyze images, as well as how to generate realistic images and animations artificially. Courses focus on image creation, geometric principles, image synthesis, and image analysis, along with related areas. Participants also gain foundational knowledge in mathematics, computer science, physics, and mechatronics. The program is taught and examined in English. Scholarships from the International Max Planck Research School for Computer Science are available for exceptionally talented students. Graduates of the Saarbrücken master's program have excellent career prospects in fields such as the optical industry, medical technology, bioinformatics, automotive industry, telecommunications, industrial quality control, multimedia, media design, and robotics. Additionally, there is an opportunity to pursue a doctorate.

Qualification Requirements
In order to be admitted to the programme, students must have received a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a German or foreign university in the field of Visual Computing or a related field (particularly informatics, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or mechatronics) or proof of equivalent academic achievement. Specifically, they must also provide the following information and/or documents: Proof of previous academic qualifications (school and higher education) A dossier or a qualified letter of reference that demonstrates the student's particular interest in the M.Sc. programme Details about relevant work/study periods abroad and relevant work experience or internships Proof of advanced proficiency in English (C1)

Transcripts (Academic Records): _ a copy of your university entrance diploma _ copies of your 3 most recent degrees (with certified translation, if the original language is not English, German or French) _ a certified list of all attended courses with the respective grades, including an explanation of the grading system Minimal prerequisite is a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 75% and ranking in the top 10% of the graduating class. Curriculum Vitae (CV) including information on your areas of interest in research, as well as any projects or publications Letters of Recommendation A complete application must have two letters of recommendation.
