Course description
Over 18 months, the Master's degree in International and Development Economics (MIDE) at HTW Berlin equips students for the challenging work in development contexts. Students gain a deep understanding of the economic and political global landscape where developing countries operate. The rigorous theoretical and methodological training ensures MIDE graduates grasp the socio-economic methods and theories essential for tackling urgent issues in developing nations. The program offers a wide range of optional courses, allowing students to tailor their professional profiles. MIDE graduates are well-prepared for roles in development cooperation or international organizations. Courses like "Agricultural Economics in Less Developed Countries (LDCs)" and "Project Planning and Evaluation" provide a comprehensive education. By blending theoretical knowledge with practical skills, graduates can analyze current development challenges and devise actionable strategies to address them.
