Course description

The M.Sc. program in Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures (COMMAS) focuses on developing and applying numerical methods and simulation techniques to tackle complex engineering challenges. A minimum score of 79 (out of 120, IBT) is required. The COMMAS reporting code for TOEFL is 4573. All the information regarding the test can be seen on the TOEFL homepage. International students applying for graduate admission are encouraged to take the TOEFL no later than December 31st. Students wishing to take the test after that date might not being able to submit the scores prior to the application due date for COMMAS. 2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) A minimum score of 6.0 is required. Qualification Requirements

At University of Stuttgart, a regular graduate student is one who is registered for a program of advanced study and research leading to a post-graduate degree. To be admitted as a regular graduate student, an applicant must have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of acceptable standing. Students in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor’s degrees are awarded before they enroll at COMMAS. General admission requirement: A school certificate authorizing the holder to enter a university or an authorization regarded as equivalent by the board of examination of COMMAS.
