Course description

The master's program in mathematics guides students from a specific mathematical subfield to tackling contemporary research problems. It also builds on the foundational knowledge gained during the bachelor's degree. This course aims to equip graduates with the skills to quickly and independently master new areas beyond mathematics. To achieve this, the curriculum includes studying an application subject. The two-year program starts with a year of coursework, followed by a study project and culminating in a master's thesis. Students can choose from applied systems science, business administration, cognitive science, geoinformatics, computer science, physics, or economics as their application subject.
