Course description

Business informatics is a relatively young field that bridges business administration, computer science, and technology. Business IT specialists collaborate with users and programmers to develop information systems that solve problems in companies and organizations. The Master's program in Business Informatics spans four semesters, totaling 120 credit points (LP), and culminates in a "Master of Science (M.Sc.)" degree. This program offers comprehensive options to set priorities, creating ideal conditions for a career in practice or research while catering to personal interests. In the compulsory elective area of business informatics/computer science, students can choose from five areas, with three requiring 15 credit points each: 1. Management Support and Business Information Technology 2. Organization and Business Informatics 3. Corporate Accounting and Business Informatics 4. Information Management and Business Informatics 5. Knowledge of another foreign language , proven by the Abitur certificate or a certificate that is recognized as equivalent for access to university studies or in the certificate of the extended secondary qualification I after four years of instruction confirmed at least sufficient achievements in the respective language or Equivalent certificates from a higher education institution or an adult education institution.

Qualification Requirements

The entry requirement is a bachelor's degree in a subject-specific or closely related course of study with at least 180 credit points . TheAccess regulationscontains detailed information about the content requirements that must be met. In particular are 10 CP in quantitative or qualitative research methods such as mathematics, statistics, econometrics or business research and 30 credits in the field of business informatics as well 30 credits in the field of computer science

Bachelor’s degree certificate and/or a transcript of records showing they have completed 150 CP Proof of English proficiency Module descriptions (if possible) A personal statement that they have not already completed a comparable Master’s program, and that they have not definitively failed a comparable Master’s program or have not lost their entitlement to take examinations.
