M.Ed. | Master of Education
Course description
If your career goal is teaching at vocational colleges, you can later work at various vocational schools. At these colleges, students not only gain vocational qualifications but also general qualifications like a university of applied sciences entrance qualification or the general university entrance qualification (Abitur). To achieve this, you start by studying one of two Bachelor's degree courses offered at WWU Münster. After completing your Bachelor's, you move on to the consecutive Master's degree course, "Master of Education for Teaching at Vocational Colleges." During your Bachelor's, you will engage in two practical phases: an aptitude and orientation internship at a school for at least 25 days, and a professional internship lasting at least four weeks, typically outside of school. Additionally, a three-month stay abroad is mandatory. When selecting your subjects, ensure you follow the requirements for the permitted subject combinations for a teaching degree. This structured path equips you with the necessary skills and qualifications to excel in teaching at vocational colleges.
