Agricultural Sciences in the Tropics & Subtropics
Subjects: Agriculture
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
The Sustainable Development Goals emphasize the need for producing enough food and ensuring access to high-quality nutrition worldwide. However, challenges like population growth, climate change, and increased resource use threaten food security and the livelihoods of millions of small farmers. To address these issues, we need an interdisciplinary approach grounded in scientific evidence. This approach can lead to a shift towards agroecological, sustainable, and highly productive agriculture, securing both farmers' livelihoods and long-term food supplies. Achieving this goal requires collaboration among trained scientists from various fields. Agritropics offers a comprehensive education in tropical agriculture, integrating interdisciplinary methods. This degree program focuses on development-oriented agricultural research, equipping you to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
