Course description

Mathematical models are everywhere. They shape weather forecasts, timetables, climate research, rocket launches, and risk management. These models turn complex socioeconomic and technical issues into solvable mathematical problems. The MathMods program zeroes in on the mathematical aspects shared by various technical and engineering fields. This two-year master's program blends theoretical and practical knowledge of mathematical modeling. It offers international training at five top European research institutions: Università Degli Studi di L'Aquila, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Politechnika Gdańska, Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis, and Universität Hamburg. Funded by the European Union, MathMods equips students with the skills to tackle real-world problems through mathematics. The curriculum covers a wide range of study subjects, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of mathematical modeling. By the end of the program, students are well-prepared to apply their expertise in diverse technical and engineering disciplines. This collaborative effort among leading universities fosters a rich learning environment, promoting both academic and personal growth.
