Course description
The master's degree program in Indology and Tibetology is designed with a strong research focus, while also providing practical and professional knowledge. This course offers comprehensive insights into Indology and Tibetology, emphasizing key research and application areas. Students will learn to independently analyze primary sources in one of the program's languages, conduct theoretical and reflective research in their chosen field, and participate in scientific discussions across various cultural contexts. The program includes joint cross-sectional modules that teach essential methodological principles for future careers in professional practice, consulting, or research. Students can specialize in one of four areas: Indology with a focus on Sanskrit, Indology with a focus on Tamil studies, Indology with a focus on yoga studies, or Tibetology. Each specialization is pursued at a high academic level, ensuring a deep and nuanced understanding of the chosen subject. This program equips students with the skills needed to excel in their field, fostering an environment of trust, understanding, and inclusivity. The curriculum is clear and concise, avoiding complex language to ensure effective communication.
