B.Eng. | Bachelor of Engineering
Course description
The two-semester orientation course provides foundational knowledge in business informatics, computer science, and business administration. Students gain skills in computer basics, software development, databases, and accounting. The curriculum also emphasizes technical English and foreign language proficiency. International students learn German, while German-speaking students pick up a second foreign language from the university's Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication, such as Italian, Spanish, French, or Chinese. Starting in the third semester, Advanced Phase I begins. The focus shifts to customizing and programming information systems, data analysis, and statistics. Business knowledge expands to include intercultural management, law, and e-business. Students collaborate on a practical team project and further enhance their foreign language skills. Lectures in the first three semesters are conducted in English. From the fourth semester onwards, lectures are held in both English and German, allowing international students to improve their German language skills.
