Course description
The M.Sc. Management and Engineering in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. MME-CAME) is a unique interdisciplinary program. It’s run by the Institute of General Mechanics and RWTH School of Business and Economics. This program blends core mechanical engineering principles with key business management processes. Students dive into subjects like the finite element method, numerical methods, and simulation. They also learn to connect these technological aspects with a business perspective. The goal is to equip students with the skills to develop and apply computer-aided modeling and simulation techniques in advanced manufacturing processes. The program also focuses on designing and controlling digitally networked production systems. It encourages system-analytical thinking, especially in quality management tasks. This approach ensures that students are well-prepared to tackle both technical and business challenges in their careers.
