Circular Economy
Subjects: Sustainability;Economics
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
Protecting the climate and the environment, conserving natural resources, and strengthening the industrial sector: With these goals in mind, the Academy for Professionals (afp) is launching a new part-time Master's degree in Circular Economy at the Burghausen campus starting in the summer semester of 2022. Companies engaged in a circular economy aim to minimize industrial by-products and environmentally harmful waste, such as CO2 emissions, or ideally, eliminate them altogether. This approach integrates ecology, climate protection, and economic strength. The term "circular economy" covers a range of technological, economic, ecological, and political issues, all centered on sustainability and resource management. Success in this field requires both economic and engineering expertise. Transitioning to a circular economy involves developing innovative, sustainable technologies and alternative materials, leading to new production processes. Additionally, it is closely tied to ethical, global economic, and environmental policy considerations. The Master's program in Circular Economy will cover subjects that blend these diverse aspects, preparing professionals to lead in this transformative field.
