Course description

You are deeply interested in understanding current geopolitical crises and finding ways to overcome them. You believe that peace requires as much attention and effort as conflicts do. The big issues and challenges of our world excite and drive you, especially those related to peace, prosperity, environmental protection, justice, and human rights. You want to get socially involved and are curious about other cultures and ways of thinking. Discussing solutions to major challenges or finding peaceful resolutions to conflicts is important to you. The course focuses on understanding the interrelationships between international politics and economics, ecology and ethics, legal regulations, and cultural ideas. It also delves into the art of diplomatic negotiations from the ground up. By studying International Relations with a focus on Global Security, you will learn how to use diplomacy as a driving force for conflict resolution. The program combines international relations with a focus on global security and merges theoretical foundations with practical applications in real projects. A semester abroad and internships will enable you to have direct contact with key players in geopolitical constellations.

For our Bachelor programs, your English language skills at level C1 must be proven by an IELTS certificate (min. 6.5 overall score), a TOEFL certificate (min. 100 points)

Proof of sufficient knowledge of English For our Bachelor programs, your English language skills at level C1 must be proven by an IELTS certificate (min. 6.5 overall score), a TOEFL certificate (min. 100 points), or the ISE III from Trinity College London. Applicants with a German Abitur already have the English language level B2 to C1. However, a mandatory Oxford online test must still be completed via the university.
