Course description

The course spans four semesters and offers a program focused on literary and cultural studies through seven modules. These modules provide in-depth knowledge of English-speaking societies, examining their literary, historical, political, and cultural contexts. The primary focus is on the British Isles and countries influenced by Great Britain. Students can tailor their B.A. by combining Modules II and IV, allowing for a broad focus or a deep dive into a specific era or subject area. An interdisciplinary module lets students explore Anglophone literatures, cultures, and languages in a wider context. The master's degree program builds on this foundation with elective courses from related disciplines, enhancing the research perspective in English studies. The "Research Workshop" module and associated courses in theory and methodology are crucial, emphasizing early involvement in research projects and independent academic work.
