Deepen your knowledge in literary and cultural studies after your Bachelor’s degree. Transfer theories and methods to compelling classics and contemporary texts. Explore and discuss the medial characteristics, cultural contexts, and transcultural dimensions of literary text production. As you do so, develop and sharpen your own scientific profile. This is what the Master’s course in Anglophone Literatures, Cultures, and Media (ALCM) offers. The program focuses on three major fields: Literature and Media Culture, Literature and Cultural History, and Transcultural Anglophone Studies. These areas delve into historical, political, philosophical, and artistic developments in Anglophone literatures and cultures. You will gain an eye for detail and the big picture. The two-year Master’s course, taught entirely in English, emphasizes literary, cultural, and media studies. It specializes in literary studies within their historical context, cultural communication, cultural memory, intermediality, and key concepts in media studies.
