European Master in Landscape Architecture
Subjects: Landscape;Architecture
M.Sc. | Master of Science
Course description
International networks are becoming crucial for aspiring landscape architects. Studying abroad offers a chance to learn diverse working methods and cultures, make international friends, and strengthen subject networks beyond academic studies. The "European Master in Landscape Architecture (EMiLA)" is a joint master’s program created by five leading European universities. These include The University of Edinburgh / Edinburgh College of Art, École Nationale Supérieure de Paysage Versailles / Marseilles, Amsterdam University of the Arts / Amsterdam Academy of Architecture, Universitat Polytècnica de Catalunya / Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona, and Leibniz Universität Hannover. The EMiLA curriculum focuses on the internationalisation of European planning culture. It enables students to develop expertise and gain knowledge of various national contexts. EMiLA students participate in design projects and courses offered by the master’s program in Landscape Architecture. These courses combine aesthetic and social-science approaches with scientific and technical insights to address the complex challenges of our time, from both spatial and design perspectives.
