The Department of Sustainable Systems Engineering (INATECH) at the University of Freiburg, in collaboration with five local Fraunhofer Institutes, offers a unique blend of academic learning, cutting-edge research, and practical experience. This international Master’s programme equips you with advanced engineering skills in three key areas: Sustainable Materials, Energy Systems, and Networks and Resilience. Additionally, Circularity Engineering is a core focus. While you will gain knowledge in all these areas through mandatory elective modules, you have the freedom to specialize in one, diving deep into your preferred research fields. Beyond these core subjects, the programme also provides interdisciplinary insights into natural resources, climate change, and sustainable economics, technologies, and societies. This holistic approach ensures you develop a comprehensive understanding of sustainability.
