Course description
Over recent decades, microelectronics have advanced significantly, sparking a digital revolution with computers at the forefront. We often picture a computer as a desktop or laptop, but digital computing and digital signal processing are now crucial in many everyday products. These include cars, mobile phones, tablets, cameras, and household appliances. The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program zeroes in on communications and digital signal processing. It covers the essential digital processing elements and their programming. These technologies are generally grouped under embedded systems. In the ECE program, students delve into subjects like communications and digital signal processing. They learn about the digital processing elements that make these technologies possible and how to program them. This knowledge is vital for understanding and developing the embedded systems that power so many of our modern devices.
