Course description
The "Digital Sciences" program is a collaborative effort between the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at the Gummersbach site and the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences at the Cologne site. This project-based Master's degree course has an admission restriction. In the "Business Information Systems" course, which is taught in English, students learn to align information technology with business administration needs. They gain a deep understanding of business activities to determine IT requirements and identify opportunities for successful digitalization. The "IT Management" field of study, offered in German, focuses on strategic IT management. Students acquire broad knowledge and skills in operational IT management, and they also learn about the sustainable development, operation, and further advancement of IT systems.

Qualification Requirements
University degree (Bachelor's degree or higher) in a suitable field and with a final grade of 2.5 (German grading system) or better. Additionally, the following additional admission requirements must be met. A program is considered suitable if it covers computer science or information science related contents from one the following fields worth at least 80 ECTS credits: 1.
