Course description
The Master's programme in Digital Engineering spans 120 ECTS and takes four semesters to complete. In the first two semesters, you will take foundational courses to prepare for advanced studies. The curriculum includes both compulsory and elective courses in computer science and civil engineering. Based on your prior knowledge, we will tailor your module plan to focus on either engineering or computer science. Starting from the second semester, you will enhance your expertise in Engineering Methods and Computer Science Methods. You can choose compulsory elective modules to specialize in your areas of interest. The programme also includes a research project with industry partners and elective modules from the Master's module catalog of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar or the Language Centre. In the fourth semester, you will write and defend your Master's thesis. Professors and external industry partners will support you through consultations. This structure ensures you gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing you for a successful career in digital engineering.
